Canva‘s tagline “empowering the world to design” couldn’t any be more on point in the case of Techie Senior Citizens and Retirees Philippines—an online support group for senior citizens and retirees who are enthusiastic about exploring technology.

How it all started
When Oscar Esposo, a member of Techie Senior Citizens and Retirees Philippines asked about how to learn Canva, Koree Monteloyola, founder of the group, saw an opportunity to ask for a partnership with the web-based design tool company. Since empowerment and inclusivity are both values that are important to Canva and Techie Senior Citizens and Retirees Philippines, the partnership flourished.
Canva sponsored the third and fourth free seminars of the Techie Senior Citizens and Retirees Philippines. It did not only provide the venue for the seminars. It provided almost everything. Apart from the cool venue, Canva also provided the laptops that are needed for the practical part of the seminar. With their in-house chef, Canva also contributed to the food provided by Kairos IT Services for the seminars. They also ensure that they have staff present there to ensure that everything went smoothly.

For the third time this coming Saturday, September 14, the fifth free seminar by Techie Seniors and Retirees Philippines will be held again at the Canva Manila Office. The seminar is also organized by WWCode Manila.
Techie Seniors and Retirees Philippines just want to take this opportunity to thank Canva and the Canva Manila office for all the warmth and generosity that they’ve shared with the seniors and retirees.
